Rehearsal Dinner Dress

This is my rehearsal dinner dress. It will be in navy blue though, not yellow so it has more of a fall nautical feel. The designer is Basix Black Label but I bought it from Yolanda's. I tried it on on whim but fell in love instantly. It fit me like a glove and I knew I had to have it!

THE DRESS!!

Jim Hjelm!

I set out to find the perfect dress and I did! It is Jim Hjelm style number 8716. I will be adding buttons to the back of the dress all the way to the hem, covered in cloth. I will also not be wearing the sash shown in this picture. I plan on wearing pearls instead of silver and my necklace will not drape but lay at my neck.
This was actually the first dress I tired on! I tried on many others but returned to my first love in the end. I can not speak highly enough of both Yolanda's where I purchased this dress and Priscilla's of Boston where I seriously considered a few other dresses. I had an excellent dress hunting experience and I could not be more pleased with the outcome!

The Veil

My veil is a very simple, finger tip length, custom made (by Yolanda's veil maker), white veil. It has a blusher as well. I have always known I wanted my dad to lift the blusher on my veil when we got to the end of the aisle. It has a simple hair comb to secure it but no glitter, rhinestones or pearls. There is only delicate satin piping around the edges. I wanted the veil to show off its own elegance against my hair. Here are some pictures of similar veils.
