I was completely shocked when Mike walked through our door, dropped to his knee, and asked me for the honor of being his wife. We knew we were getting married but I had no idea when the ring was coming. Since my birthday is September 30th, Mike wanted to make sure I had the ring to show off at my birthday party. I started crying hysterically and could barely listen as he finished his speech. We sat on our bed hugging and crying and just basking in the glow of the moment. He finally asked if I wanted to try on my gorgeous ring. Up until that point I was just staring at it in a stupor. I could not have been more happy. We of course started making all our phone calls. Then Mike took me out to a private dinner at a fancy steakhouse complete with champagne and a special engagement cake. To top it all off we partied all weekend long! I love you baby!
